Essay

A Writer's Introduction
As Albert Einstein once said: “The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know”. This is true on many situations in life, and on being a writer, there is no difference. This fact is even reflected on professional writers, who expose their work to multiple revisions before having their writings published. This extensive process is done in order to produce a well-written paragraph. Thus, the importance for people interested in writing, to know about the most relevant aspects of the writing process. A process that, although extensive and broad, can be summarized recipelike in three steps: an overall understanding of grammar, a clear conceptualization of preparation, and practice, practice, practice.
The first step to become a writer is to master the use of grammar. Grammar is used in every kind of speech. People chose words over others, within a special structure, in order to communicate an idea. If the correct structure is used when expressing an idea, then that idea will e understood in a much clearer manner. There lies the importance of grammar. Usually, people are well understood in spoken speech, but when they are writing it gets complicated. What does this process a lot harder is that, in writing speech, grammar goes together with punctuation and spelling, and unless those three aspects are well e,ployed, clear ideas will not be delivered. Planning and outlining is what follows after having studied grammar.
The second step to become a writer is to know about planning, this is how to gather ideas, how to organize material, and how to draw an outline. Gathering ideas is the easiest process: it starts by jotting down every idea that you want to address in the composition, so virtually anything that comes to mind will be useful in some way or another. After that, the material is organized. This is done by forming groups with the ideas previously written. Once the material is organized, it is possible to draw an outline. The outline is the skeleton in a composition: with a strong foundation, a composition can be easily completed. As this is the base for what follows, is strongly recommended to be as diligent as possible in this step.
The final step to become a writer is to start building a composition applying everything learned. Having an outline already written may be lead into believing that the composition is almost complete, nevertheless, is in the building process where most errors are made. Keeping track of every single detail while writing will save a great deal of time since, sometimes, what it would look to be an insignificant error can cause bigger problems in the long run. Overall, practice is the only path to perfecting composition over composition.

The whole writing process can be expressed very succinctly in just two words: study and practice. Not only does writers need to do research before hand, but also to apply concepts learned into their scripts. Thus, illustrating the difficulties of being a writer from two different angles. This should not keep anyone from writing, since th formula planted in introduction covers every part of the writing process in a very pragmatical manner.

Comparison and contrast paragraph

An Educational Debate
There has been an ongoing debate to see which is better: a student centered class, or a professor centered class; however, in terms of understanding  the topics, memorizing facts, and sharing different opinions, a student centered class shows, again and again, a clear advantage when compared to a teacher centered class.  Regarding how well a topic is understood, student centered classes are the most viable option to choose to manage a class. A successful class is based on students’ feedback. This is because students are the ones being evaluated. In the event that students are not clear in any subject, they are entitled to ask questions as much as they want in order to be understood.  Teacher centered classes do not invest time in this field. Teachers impart their class in a monotonous way, not caring if the contents are fully understood or not. Regarding memorizing facts, students centered classes offer the time to practice difficult topics along with the professor, thus, delivering a better performance on exams. Professor centered classes do not bother to include practice in their classes. This kind of approach pretends that students should seek additional assistance such as private tutors or online resources. Concerning to opinions from students, these are essential for improving the class settings. When students are the center of the class, they will not be afraid to speak their minds, they know the class belong to them, and they will not be held back from whatever they want to say. In a professor centered class, the teacher acts as a dictator, establishing a set of rules that can not be changed. Although this teacher may have put some thought into this set of rules, not every student will find those rules as fare. To sum up, students do not appreciate how succinct and uncomfortable a teacher centered class is. Conversely, students will be more than happy to participate in a student centered class because of the time invested in on them. That is why a student centered class has the right arguments to deliver a better learning experience over a professor centered class.

Cause and effect paragraph

Engiaging Students to Learn.
It is of great importance for a professor to identify the reasons why a student get interested in learning; one is because students have received some inspiration, other is because the environment in which students are learning is appealing to them, and the other is that, through personal experiences, their views and mindsets change. The inspiration can be worked out with the help of a professor through dialogue. This is a dialogue in which students are presented with reasons why learning is important. If a professor is able to cause some sense of wonder or curiosity to the student, then our goal effect will be met. Said in other way: once students have motives to learn, they would not see learning as a hindrance. Another cause is the environment in which students learn. The atmosphere surrounding the students may have a huge impact in the learning process. A proper environment  is the catalyst when it comes about studying, meaning that an atmosphere in which students feel comfortable, they will be more prompt to take the initiative of paying attention to the subject of study. It is worth notice that for students lacking motivation, a proper environment means that learning is not that arduous chore. A final cause has to do with students themselves. Personal experiences shapes student's perception and, it is through  experiences,  that they get engaged  in matters that have relation to those experiences. Ultimately, students have the last stand when it comes to learning. If they do not have the will, they will not put a conscious effort to learn. There lies the key to induce students in the learning process. Professors are in the need to recognise why a student would want to learn. Once acknowledged the fact that inspiring talks, environment, and experiences play a huge role in the learning process, professors can  depart from that knowledge to impart their lessons.

Expository Paragraph

Teaching Using Cellphones
There is an easy way to make students use their cellphones smartly, thus, keep them from using their cellphones for unrelated purposes. First, ask every student’s email account; a Gmail account will work, as well for the UNA’s email account. Next step is to create a Drive: this is an online tool to share any type of file you want. In order to create one, you have to sign up for your own a google account. This account will enable you to access the drive. Once in Drive, you will upload all the material you see suitable for the course. Even if you have no files, you are able to create documents and presentations right there on Drive. Now, for students to be able to access the content, you will share those files with your students’ accounts. In order to do that, you click on all your files you want, then, select the “Share” button. A window will show up, here, you will write the email addresses you collected from your students. Click on the “Done” button when you have finish, and the Drive has been created. For now on, whenever a presentation is shown on the classroom, students can access the material on the slides. This is helpful if the video beam does not expands large enough, and also, the professor can take advantage of this by asking students to read out loud, so they take part in class on a moment’s notice.

Narrative Paragraph

My introduction to the world of science

I never paid much attention to science class as a high school student, but gradually, I became more and more  invested in this subject. So much so, that by the time I was deeply interested in science, I was no longer studying anything related to it, and thus, no educator was near to fuel my intrigue in science. So there was me, amidst the discomfort of not knowing what to do, little that I knew, all I was looking for was about to come along. In my everyday life, I surf the internet consuming all kind of content. I often listen to people ranting about the many eventualities happening with today’s society; trends, news, events, new ideas, the list goes on and on. One day, a trending new started to appear on my social media’s news feed; the remake of a series called “Cosmos” was about to premiere on television. At that time, I did not know what the fuss was all about, but it really called my attention the fact that everybody was talking about this same topic. As it happened, this series turned out to be the greatest show for science wonderers like me! And as if that was not convenient enough, a much greater thing this show brought along, was its host Neil deGrasse Tyson. Dr. Tyson is the greatest science communicator there is around, and easily became a person to look up to. As I was trying to reach all I could for this fellow, I became aware of the many outlets there are to learn about science. I came across podcasts, interviews, lectures, and conferences all held by Dr. Tyson. All this material has deepened my knowledge of science, and I am sure it is going to be like that for the years to come.

Descriptive Paragraph

Ideal Classroom Environment
My ideal classroom environment is based on a series of values that one as a professor ought to inculcate to the students. The first value that must be established in the classroom is trustiness. A sense of trust will encourage a student to not be shy, ask the necessary questions, and not to be afraid of being wrong. For this, I as a professor will take the time to know each of my students and try to understand them. The second value the students need to be taught is caring for what they do. A student neglected to study will not contribute to the learning process. So, in order to boost student’s performance, what I will do is to show them every reason why it is important to excel in every situation they are in. This is not just useful in class, but in life in general. Once the students have tools learnt in class they can apply in real life, it will be easier for them to understand topics and have the topics to stick. As for the third value a want students to have, is freedom. This is important because once we understand that freedom means working in a way that satisfies me and those among me, really impacts productivity in the most positive manner. Therefore, when all this conditions are met, I would say that the perfect communion between the professor and the alumni has been reached.
